For those who didn't know already (I didn't, this is new territory for me), Silent Circle is co-founded by Phil Zimmermann (the PGP guy).

I've done this in the past with some pretty good results. Though, I've dropped it because I found myself constantly locking myself out of my own machines. I can't deny, it is a cool technique though. PortSentry is a good tool

I wouldn't have used the word "meh" to describe it, but I think that it's a valid point to consider: why would I consider switching from Guzzle? My attention is caught now that I see a composer.json. Friction is limited.

I feel pretty out of my league even commenting on this, but I'll do so anyway. As someone who's gotten by quite well with thinking about boolean logic as just true and false, the first two videos have absolutely blown my mind.

Yes. Thank you for a location filter. This is a fantastic use of the geolocation API.

I have some security concerns. Consider the HN mod. You can try to log in there... http://hnews.tomodo.me/newslogin?whence=news That form does post but not to HN.

I use git to deploy about 30 sites and have found it to be a really useful workflow. It's particularly useful over SSH when using key-based authentication. For my post-receive hook, I always add a tag to mark a deployment: git ta

First thing I thought was that this was the reason why I abandoned YUI grids. That and the subdividing boxes thing. I've gotten great mileage with unsemantic[0], and purely by an accidental google, I stumbled across semantic[1]. The la

I left this comment in the article, but it hasn't shown up yet. I don't want to nitpick but DOM is just an API (of W3 origins, which also makes it a standard). "The DOM is not a JavaScript concept. It is an object model for web browsers" Th
