Maybe we’re splitting hairs. I agree that it wasn’t “sound science”, but one could argue it was evidence based - the evidence being reports/video coming out of China (I believe there was an article in The Atlantic stating this is what

Sometimes the scientific process isn’t an option and intuition is required. Look at the results and tell me you would have preferred they waited in the name of science. SF could have been much closer to the situation in NYC...

Can you lay out the chain of events you imagine (or have been told ) will occur for refusing to pay your leases, or at least pay in full? I’m genuinely curious what would happen if you say, “sorry, not paying.” beyond an eviction. It seems

I think your comment has good intentions by trying to let parent comment know their hiring prospects may not being as daunting as it currently seems, but the immediate social and parental pressures are going to make it hard to see the fores

The reason shooting for completeness is not ideal is because it’s usually a waste of time. Very rarely can founders guess the compete solution to their customers problem out of the gate. It’s the mismatch between what the company imagines

Some examples that come to mind are pesticides/herbicides/synthetic fertilizers. The farming example is very on-point actually. Production agriculture has become synonomous with monocultures (growing one species) to maximize "

First, my choice to use the word gift is exactly that - a personal choice. If I believe that psilocybin is a gift, what authority do you have to say I am wrong? You may feel differently, and I would respect that, without pretending I know b

Again, totally agree. But are you arguing that not changing/innovating, while refreshing, should be considered tech? I associate tech with innovation and trying something new. Zero to One.

Totally agree. I looked it up out of curiosity... 1995. 25 years in tech is basically a lifetime ago. Has it changed much?

Probably because the players who can amass a billion $ fund would rather put their money somewhere else. You're basically asking why is capitalism capitalism?

Craigslist isn’t a tech company. It’s a website. Not trying to disrespect them as I’m sure they do some impressive stuff behind the scenes to handle scale, I just don't feel they’re innovating in a way to be called “tech”.

Thanks for sharing. I learned something too. What’s interesting to me is that, at least in America, we associate the judicial as government because we consider ourselves a “land of law” and the judicial has the responsibility of determining

While I agree with the overall sentiment in regards to supporting end-user privacy, this article’s title is a bit sensational and the body fails to provide enough substance to support such a dramatic claim. It’s an overly idealistic solutio

Interesting. Connected the the “Learn a Language” box, the only one the author personally recommends is Javascript. All others are labeled as alternate options and while I know this is a subjective resource, that still seems odd to me.
