The website says BuckleScript can also be compiled into a unikernel, which links to MirageOS. I get the sense that integration between MirageOS unikernels and the javascript Bucklscript compiles down to is a likely usage-case scenario?

I'm in the same mindset right now. Really like aspects of Clojurescript and its elegant syntax, but it's complicated machinery (JVM, Google Closure) make me wary. I'm sure they're well done, but because I'm mainly

I had a philosophy professor who believed evolution was 'just a theory', and routinely dismissed it. I don't think she was religious either. Then again, I had another philosophy teacher who taught logic, which is the most p

I'm all for challenging academics, but that abstract was inflammatory and un-constructive. And this is coming from someone who was a little unconvinced by some of Chomsky's ideas. For instance, 'it'/'there&#x

An arm would be simpler, but might get awkward for larger plots. Some kind of self-driving vehicle with an arm might be the most scaleable.

Like 3d printing, I think this only solves problems for a small subset of the people who will buy this. In the case of 3d printing, industrial engineers could prototype things much faster, before ultimately sending it to a factory for larg

That's what I was thinking too. Mike Judge probably just has to read the local news to figure out the story arcs.

Good correction -- shame on me for not looking up the exact times that copyright terms were extended. For some reason, I thought most of them happened in the past 20 years :P I agree, extending copyright another 20 years is a marginal, if

The article's title is misleading in that it implies millennials are the source of the movie industry's problems. But the content of the article is correct in that there's other sources of entertainment these days that captu

Nice! I like that this framework is meant for portfolios only. I always seems like a lot of portfolio-generating web-frameworks are added onto much more complicated tools like Wordpress. This is relatively simple, but does the job of port

I vaguely remember articles as a kid worrying/digging into GenX'ers. I guess the media find millennial articles more interesting these days.

That's what confused me too. If I've been selling everyone apples at $5/bag forever, and all of a sudden I start selling them at $2.50/bag, Bloomberg logic would dictate I'm giving them a $2.50 * number of sales we

Two benefits were named: 1. Deciding to go with renderman gives allows you to tap a large talent pool that are already familiar with Renderman. Much larger than cycles. 2. Renderman works with a number of other 3d tools besides Blender.

I'm getting the same feeling lately with OS X. I think part of the feeling stems from other operating systems improving, thus making OS X not as attractive by comparison. I switched to OS X in 2007. At that point, Windows was a mess,
