Totally agree. It’s all the same to more than most people. And I don’t think anyone’s going to switch to Anthropic because of ads. They’ll switch because it’s a better product.

Agreed, but seemed like it was only funny if you’re an AI power user. Presumably the general population is more concerned about data privacy than ads (as part of a service). Seems like sowing distrust in any form is a bad move for everyone.

It is dumb to equate AI with the dot com bubble. Failure stands to make it way more catastrophic. Now that so much more of the world is plugged in, the chips are much higher.
