Don’t mean to create a pile-on, but since you asked, yeah I should explain my barb: Is Jira a UX disaster because of just that? Or is it bad on top of that? My opinion - it’s both. The product has a ton of permutations, as you

This issue arises because, if the site allows any public sharing, the "create filter" UI gives team members the option to share a new filter with "Everyone", which sounds like an org-local scope but is in fact a public&#

Really cool project! Thanks for sharing. Maybe a dumb question (and I certainly haven't read enough): Any plans or projects that decouple language support from exporter/backend support? Bummer to see a bit of fragmentation there,

Thanks! Can't edit my post, but didn't expect such a positive response, really cool to see others offering an ear as well. OP's got a _lot_ going on here: fear of being stuck at a prestigious company; team/interpersonal

I worked for a "big 4" (Google) for many years, and now I lead the engineering team at a startup. I've interviewed many hundreds of people. And I've "been there" in anxiety about interviewing for something new.

It's a common "recirc" technique (recirculation). All that crap after the button/article? If you skim the first paragraph and are not interested, they want you to go there rather than press "back".

Mad respect, this looks so inventive. But as a coder by day / vinyl and controller DJ by night, shifting code around to gig sounds like a nightmarish personal hell! Am I missing something about how the tactile control works, or is it r

FWIW, this is the new foreward from the second edition printing, which is being released next week (Nov 18th). This has been on my reading list for a while, and never quite made it to the top. It's age plus a faint memory about Intel&#

Probably not much, but it's a silly comparison since newspaper classifieds do not work the same way: It surely helps that the newspaper is not managing the inventory, payment processing, photography, and customer relations on behalf of

So you want people to e-mail you more, but don't want to seem brash by just saying so in your voicemail. Right idea! I think the computer networking concepts of "quality of service" and "latency" are relevant: Train

The real power savings come not from the switches themsleves, but from the application and scheduling architectures it enabled. Having full cross-sectional bandwidth between any pair of hosts means the bin packing problem is a lot easier.

How's the toolchain support / dev environment for the Nordic parts these days? I remember the "other" popular chips (TI CC2540 and friends) had a gross and expensive requirement on "IAR Workbench".

Yes: Check in a unittest that runs your linter, and check in the config as well (eg jshintrc). Tackle all the flagrant style issues until the test passes.

I tried hailing a random security Githubber or two on Twitter about the lack of an issues-only oauth scope; no response. I can only conclude they're holding it back deliberately, since it seems both a glaring omission and simple fix. G

Looks like an even more minimal version of WunWun ( https://www.wunwun.com/ ), which is a "write some unstructured text and we'll dispatch it" app, in NYC and SF. They hire and manage their own couriers tho.
