We previously launched a client-side only proof of concept, that would show the potential of the idea. When the launch was successful we started building the proper version, with usernames, curation (hiding of posts) and proper OAuth. Previ

Facebook connect is in the works, but it will likely require the server-side version.

Good tip, I was pretty struggling with providing some logical navigation in the horizontal mode. I settled with some vertical-scroll translation to horizontal-scroll in order to facilitate people with mice with scroll-wheels...

So as this was an experiment in client-side scripting and to see if I can create something viable just with that: - HTML5 - CSS3 - JavaScript Ok, I have to admit, I used a server-side proxy to convert RSS to JSONP. :) That one's a sinatra a

Hmm, vertical line was planned to be just a node, from out of which events in time grow out. That being said, there's no difference between left and right.

Yep, also we were also thinking about the order in the horizontal version [1] to be reversed. What are your thoughts on that? [1]: http://timekiwi.com/timeline.html#orientation=horizontal,pos... ,

Yep, it's one of those kinks we'll iron out as this goes into more serious use.

It's true, but as this was a simple client-side only experiment I couldn't go into those depths. In the future, when the paid version is server-side we'll probably implement more intelligent aggregation, grouping and other stuff.

This was a weekend project and started as a proof of concept that a timeline can be created completely on the client side. That's why don't get fooled by the occasional choking of our kiwi squeezer, it's just the APIs that are unstable. Dep

Yeah it's hardcoded, more, the OS X Lion takes it to the system level, by showing a location services activity in the menu bar when you do this.

Yep, sorry about that! We've just fixed that (it was an outdated SDK file) with a direct link to our mobile dashboard, where developers can sign up themselves and get their apps running DoubleRecall in no time.

You're correct and this is done by design. We're not a security feature but a soft-monetization one. 99% of people aren't technical enough to go through any other way than retyping.

Depends on how you look at it I guess. We're trying to relieve people of paying for small things, like reading articles or in-app purchasing new swords :) You'll always have two options at least: - input the DoubleRecall - pay for the conte

It's a sad sad story. I love reading great content and I never had problems paying for great content. I've been a subscriber to paid magazines/papers and I'll continue to be one to digital ones. But I guess my kind is rare and of course the

We use PHP/HipHop/Redis and nothing else. The server can do 1500req/sec. The traffic today is about 30 users per hour without additional exposure. We'll do a proper PR campaign in a few days but have some user requests to implement right no

Hey, this is the missing part of my cooking web app, centered around ingredients you have at home. This can become ultra powerful with some sort of an API. Is there any?

Yep, I can reproduce the problem but I'm not aware what triggers it. Maybe the JS changing the iframe's src makes a new history record in Chrome. I'll have to investigate this further.
