In my experience, rewrites are most of the time motivated by switching to the latest hyped stack than anything else. Nobody rewrites anything in the same stack/technology.

That's the whole point of a code formatter. To avoid these bike shedding discussions and get back to work. Where you think a long call should be allowed somebody else will think it should be split. Pick a code formatter, and fuck opini

Same. Got burned so badly by it. And I'm pretty sure same thing will happen with this framework. Can see how 1 year from now it is a totally different thing impossible to update without rewriting everything because they've got a n

Microservices and SPAs are to me in the same category of "things we do because it is fun" rather than because the business will take any benefit out of it. The amount of effort wasted is just not worth it in 90% of the cases.

Well, no. You can deploy the same monolith to two different clusters with different resource configurations. In fact, this is what you usually do with "worker" nodes that do background jobs. And you can always have feature flags&#

In my opinion, any tool that allows teams/individuals to publish/post updates and subscribe to other teams/individuals' posts or updates can work. Bonus points if you can have threaded conversations (like HN), examples:
