When my kid was born I wanted to have a day off with her every week, so I just asked for 36 hours so I could work 4x9. I was so used to working 40 hours I thought the jump to 32 would be too much. How wrong I was haha.. 4x9 with a kid is no

Sorry but are you really saying 'easily' and 'given birth' after eachother? Have you ever witnessed a birth? And how do you know it would have gone on to live a completely normal life? What kind of disney movie do you li

Probably because you didn't grow up with Celcius. Celcius makes sense because it's based on water, 0 is freezing and 100 is boiling. What's Fahrenheit based on? Anything we use in our daily lives?

Everything I run on my home server is through docker (compose). The data directories are mounted via NFS on my NAS - that data gets backed up to Amazon Glacier (in case my house burns down or something) + an external HDD plugged into the NA

Ah sorry, Drone CI ( https://www.drone.io/ ) in order to run automated tests / builds from repo's in gitea. Gitea does not require it but even in my homelab setup I like to auto build / test the stuff I commit.

Also running OneDev. Looks pretty, is fast, not having to setup Drone is a big plus. Loving it.

Primal? Maybe it just wasn't for you but that's one of my favorites. There are so few stone-age games around and Primal was just great.

It really doesn't matter where you're from, my country will spy on you and your country on me. Then they just exchange info. Loophole. Tada.

Are there so many unmapped roads in the US? Or are there arbitrary variants of limits? I use Waze in NL and so far, for every road it knows the limit.

I prefer to quickly get past someone so that even faster traffic can also proceed. It's more dangerous to keep 2 lanes occupied while a line of cars is pushing behind you. It's a fact that some cars will go fast, better to let the

This is a Jordan Peterson video, would be great if you could put that in the title so we could avoid it. I'm going to blame you if I get his bullshit recommended to me now.

One of the many reasons to use a redirect extension or something to replace medium with scribe, e.g. https://scribe.rip/ft-product-technology/designing-a-sustain... - compare that experience

Another example is Facepacks for Football Manager, those are in the tens of GBs. Torrents are a great way to share them around.

Really easy to use changedetection.io to snipe one of these. Did it a few weeks ago, they become available rather often but indeed disappear within a couple of minutes.

We're definitely getting to the point where piracy is getting more convenient than paying again. At one point I was paying for Netflix, prime, disney+, and videoland (a Dutch VOD service). There was a show my wife wanted to watch so I

I really dislike using Spotify for podcasts since I already have a proper podcast app (Podcast Addict), so some shows I like to follow that have gone spotify-exclusive just completely drop off my radar (e.g. Last Podcast on the Left). This

I've got a Lenovo x1 xtreme and I dual boot Windows 10 + Arch. I haven't used Windows in so long, the last time I tried it was so insanely slow I don't know how people deal with it. Arch with GNOME is super snappy.
