Yes there are and it's infuriating. Colleague of mine had problems with integrating some code into an app that was built on a newer version of a framework because "there aren't a lot of examples yet". One web search and

And the osrs wiki is pretty special too imo since there is custom code (like calculators and integrations with RL Plugins). Best wiki I've seen.

Not a dig at OP but putting "senior developer" on your resume after only 2 years of experience really sets expectations.

Always thought we'd go the way of our phones being thin clients - doesn't even need to be powerful right? I previously did development work on a VDI which ran on some cloud. Expected it to be laggy but it worked perfectly.

Some people aren't allowed (rental) or cannot afford built-in AC units. I've got a mobile one in my attic where I WFH because otherwise it gets to 30c+ and that's just unbearable.

I wouldn't equate it with a person pirating a DVD to watch in his own home. It's more like someone pirating a DVD, burning a bunch of copies of it and selling those. Big difference.

If you think writing code is the most important, or even the largest part of being a (senior) software engineer - sure. In my experience it's not though. It's being able to communicate clearly, understanding and translating requir

For photos I recommend Immich ( https://immich.app/ ) - recently switched from nextcloud to immich and it's ridiculous that this is free and opensource software - it feels so premium.

You seem like a super intelligent guy in regards to your profession, though (and perhaps it is my own bias) also super contrarian. I'd genuinely always pick the person who is easy to work with than someone who might cause conflict -

Nah it would be bad if the user-agent contained a string describing the users ethnicity and you'd block them based on that though.

In semver, that's a major version upgrade since it changes the API without being backwards compatible. API consumers have responsibilities too.
