There is no such thing like a German firewall.

I recently let copilot create a document with a few helpful git commands and that particular one was the one it came with as solution for exactly this case.

Would be a good reason for the EU to start a 200% tariff for US software and cloud services then.

I wonder why they switched from a super-secure-super-complex (in terms of operations) way of doing DNS auth to a super-simple-no-cryptography-involved method that just relies on the account id. Why not using some public/private key aut

I'd say opus 4.6 was never better for me than opus 4.5. only more thinking, slower, more verbose but succeeded on the same tasks and failed on the same as 4.5.

"Faster" is also a good point. I'm using different models via GitHub copilot and find the better, more accurate models way to slow.

Thanks for pointing these things out. I always try to learn and understand the generated code and changes. Maybe not so deep for the android app (since it's just my own pet project). But especially for every pull request to a project.

For me, AI is an enabler for things you can't do otherwise (or that would take many weeks of learning). But you still need to know how to do things properly in general, otherwise the results are bad. E.g. I'm a software architect

I recently brought my first app to F-Droid. It was not friction free, but I was able to do it within a few weeks. Seems they put not much effort into this, e.g. the basic check marks are not even checked...

Thank you for the hint. I tried but the pricing is a bit disappointing. I started with an LTE modem mini-PCIe card that contains a modem module and some simple components (coils, a voltage regulator, U.FL connector). The offer from JLC for

The workflow here is: 1. 3D Model code generation - generate the model via AI, using plain text - review the result (using FreeCad for visual feedback) - iterate until the model is fine - tell the AI which parameters shall be customizable (

Can this be legally used in Europe, especially in Germany (i.e. is is allowed by the German traffic laws "Straßenverkehrsordnung")?

Since I'm a developer with no experience in 3D design, I just automated my process with freecad and vibe-code my models with GitHub copilot. That gives me instant visual feedback plus 3d model code I can check in into git: https:/

I wonder how much room this leaves for unintended, not shown changes. E.g. Excel is a complex format that allows all sort of metadata and embeddings that would not always seem as cell changes ...

I'm pretty sure, you can do this stacking 2 panels in XFCE4. Maybe except the multi row start button but if you really need that, you could even create a 3rd panel.

What I really would love is a JLCPCB equivalent in Europe. Slightly higher prices are OK, but I want to have the the Same amount of process automation and flexibility. Should be good for a scale of a few thousend per year.

For me the most important benefit is that the agent can keep the docs up to date. When I do a change, I let it document what is changed, how and why.

Cool, I wish I had seen this before we went for whale watching to the Azores last year. Can we now have lot of audio records with a documentation of whale behavior to train an AI and get a whale-translator at the end?

I have seen hetzners cloud block storage to be quite slow. It became soon a bottleneck on our timescale databases. Now we're testing on netcup.com's "root servers" which are VPS with dedicated CPU cores and lots of very

I prefer netcup for my private stuff. Similar pricing and performance like hetzner root servers but their "root servers" are fully virtualized, so you get the hardware and storage/raid management included.
