That only kind of helps ... and can lead to micromanagement. I've found a better approach is to focus on key metrics or KPIs and empower people to go after them without a heavy planing cycle. Like if your app is slow and buggy the OKR

I believe this is a problem with OKRs more then with remote work. It is too easy to game the OKR process by choosing easy but showy OKRs, doing the bare minimum and declaring victory. I've been remote for 10 years and before that worke

Perl was the tool for the job at the time no doubt. But the streaming pattern still applies no matter what language you use and really should be emphasized. (I worked in bio as we were moving away from Perl)

As a diabetic and former diabetes researcher, I’ve seen diabetes cured in mice a few times. It’s cool but too early to tell how significant. Stem cell treatment seems the most promising at the moment for a human cure.
