Electron is the new Java. In this case literally, since the old IDE was built in Java.

This is huge. Adobe was asleep at the wheel while Sketch ate their lunch. Now they are definitely back.

Note: the page itself is set in Atkinson, which looks more than good enough to stand on its own, even if you would not be aware of its hyperlegible properties.

Really liking the UI design. For the (presumed) target audience a Raspberry Pi image would also be a nice way to get started.

I really like the aesthetic, both of the product and your website. One point of feedback, since you ask: the website makes it really hard to get a sense of the material. You describe it uses recycled machined aluminium for the body and some

Very frustrating that all these smart devices keep getting acquired by big data hungry companies. Ring, Nest, Roomba… I like these toys because… well, I like toys, but I don’t like the idea that they can change owner after I buy them.

Very well done! I played around with this sort of stuff many years for a property search engine startup. I tried to make a “max commute distance” filter. It was much harder than I thought at the time!

Thanks! It feels like how I imagine someone just discovering Breaking Bad must feel. It’s sad that I never appreciated Terry Pratchett’s work during his lifetime. At least we can be thankful he produced a lot of work!

I recently started reading Discworld after many years of thinking I would not like it – I honestly don’t know why! The humour is great and it has way more fun with itself than I expected. If like me you have been putting off after ignoring

Warning: this book leaves some permanent imprints in your mind that will forever cause you to be annoyed at badly designed doors and other things.

I was quite surprised by the results. They seem unreasonably good. So much detail imagined correctly from so little.

Cool but seeing those uncovered rotors spinning freely so close to treetops made me really uncomfortable. I don’t even want to think about what happens if this thing accidentally strafes into a person.

This takes me back! In my final year of primary school I spent countless hours at a friend’s house playing this together (on his state of the art 100MHz 486 with a CD-ROM drive). We barely understood English and most of the puns and jokes w

This made me think: how the hell will I get my kid out of the back of my Model 3 in case of a fire? The front doors have manual release latches (and adults who know how to use them). The back doors won’t open from the outside in case of pow

Amazingly I had never heard of this! A link to the past was one of the first (and only) first party games I owned on the SNES and I played it until it almost fell apart. A multiplayer version would have been amazing!

This is actually a much harder problem than it seems. GDPR is quite strict about what is considered PII (and rightly so). For example: you may think replacing sensitive data with fake data is enough to anonymise customer data. It's not

Klax was actually a very good game. I spent many hours on it as a kid, as it came on a dodgy 60-in-1 Gameboy cartridge someone brought me from Asia.

Oh this takes me back! I spent an afternoon soldering my own null modem cable so I could transfer large files without the hassle of spreading them across multiple diskettes (and play games, of course!)
