I'm coming from a hackintosh with 64GB of RAM. My workloads vary, from compiling apps, 4K video editing/rendering, gaming, etc. I keep loads of tabs open (safari though), and rarely reboot and don't close apps for days. I bou

Pretty sure he just said whatever he needed to say to promote Microsoft. I can't take anything what any tech leader said/says as truth or their honest opinion. They all have something to sell.

It's from the Ezoic ad network code.

Looks like their ad provider (Ezoic ad network) is screwing something up?

For me, the amount of ads and the forced non-sensical recommendations have totally killed my interest in instagram. Right now it's flooded by AI-generated imagery accounts, that if you click on such an item once, you get a ton of these

I'd like some more info as well. Only case I know was from someone who didn't see the emails about issues with their payment.

Maybe there are two teams at Apple both working on a different feature with the same name but they never know because they still can’t talk to eachother about it? ;)

I think they wanted the best people on it and accept whatever they wanted/needed? I mean it is one of their most important products to dominate the web.

I haven't read everything about it yet, but will this vaccine also help if you already have Lyme?

Could this simply be a 'quick fix'? Can't imagine this being the definitive solution to this.

They do make money from ads, but it's a rounding error compared to anything else they make.

Love reading this discussion, even though it feels to be primarily limited to unix/linux users in a US-centered echo-chamber. (I'm in Europe) Regardless of what the author is spending his money on, I think he is along the median o

Invaluable book for designers and developers everywhere. It's amazing how you run into poorly designed things on a daily basis.

Hmm for me this is a lot slower than the M1 app, and it also used way more RAM.

But that’s just it. Markets are huge now. You have to be fast to market to grab a big chunk and dominate. No company who has Teams will use Zoom, and equally shitty product that was also rushed. If you have O365, you probably won’t use slac

Nice development. But we’ve had concept cars with outrageous specs and performance running on all kinds of fuels for years now. They just never came to market. Just like this one.

I think Apple pushes out whatever is on their internal roadmap, and if it works for most of the users, it's fine. If not a serious issue, it may never be fixed. There are somewhat serious/annoying issues that have been there for m
