That sounds interesting. How do plan to fund that? 100mt a year of sequestration sounds like there would be a fair amount of costs and labour involved.

Ah thanks so the explanation, the second part is still a bit confusing for me. When the author writes "A normalization constant squishes the input distribution, for example, I5, into the target distribution, for example, I3." It m

Ah, I think I got it, thanks. The broader range is the range (0-1) as opposed to (0-0.5)? This is what the author means by "This will give you twice the precision to quantize the second vector because the inputs are now spread over a b

Could any explain this section a little more? I didn’t quite follow this part. What does it mean to squish by 4 or by 2? > The only way to improve quantization is through more normalization constants. A normalization constant squishes th

I have worked at a National Lab previously. For the computational field I worked in BigTech and most startups pay much more and have better access to resources. If you’re a decent programmer at a National Lab now you can work on interesting

Hi, I am the author and I am 40yo! I appreciate your comment and your optimism. I wish I had more of this, I am actively working on it. This was something I wanted to get off my chest. I also acknowledge it's a pretty cynical take, but

I found out the book “mindfulness in plain English” quite for learning a bit more. I say “learning” but the book also describes that there’s no rush to get anywhere in meditation/mindfulness.

I agree. I’ve been using headspace on and off for about 3 years. The last three months it really started to click when I was able to meditate comfortably for 30 minutes or more. To answer OP’s question: the benefits I’ve found are to start

You can do a fair amount of stuff with k9s, which is a nice tool. But if you need to to do something more specialized you can pipe the output of a kubectl command into fzf and then use the ‘describe’ sub command on the selected item returne

It’s great how scriptable it is. E.g. it’s relatively easy to use it with kubectl to to browse and inspect k8s resources. Any command where you might be generating a long list of items you then want to select from can probably benefit from
