The product github supplies is a 'service', project hosting. There are multiple providers of that service. Github is not a supplier of the software projects themselves any more than the telco is a provider of conversation or S3 is

My answer to the deleted comment and to this. It is a bunch of incremental improvements to the Python like language environment. That's no big programming language advance to me. A biggie would be to Haskel or even Rust. That's no

I think this is all a bit of an irrelevant academic discussion. If Russia were to cross into Poland, it would essentially pit the world against Russia. If you're on board with the article and believe Putin is on a historically motivate

And you can load the ad blocking lists into anyway so you get solid DNS, ad blocking and none of those random youtube spinners from rando dns issues. For nothing but a little configuration.

It would not be a bad thing if it just went and died but it's still here making Google search results a wasteland. It is a sad thing to me to see such a great resource just end up trash. Thanks to ublacklist for hiding the damned thing

In the article, it's pointing out that the go-to advice when someone's struggling with tech is often "you need to understand how it works." But honestly, having to know the ins and outs just to use something isn't r

It doesn't. They didn't look for it. This is exactly what DAG based workflow systems to, in a modern professional manner. Crons don't do a DAG.

Bit they don't. The most of the ssh attacks come from the same 10 addresses from China Telecom. Sometimes they don't change for.months. Maybe it is some country sponsored attack organisation or maybe just carrier grade nat.

I set up a honeypot once and logged the passwords of created accounts. I then used 'last' to find the incoming ip. I then used ssh to try and connect to the originator (from an external box). I went back 5 jumps until I got to a w

As an aside, I notice a lot of the recent commits to the ESP32 repo are for ipv6 fixes. It already works in the tasmota esp32 builds on devices at my place. This said, by then, maybe the core OS will not be metal, but Linux on all these dev
