Yes, the density compensates for the strange arrangement. I own a Note 3, and from the closest distance my eyes can focus (~10 cm) I can see a faint diagonal texture on some colors. At normal distance nothing. A straight 1px line is a str

Also, first prize is $5000, not $10000 - that's the sum of all prizes. You also have to travel to Finland to participate in the finals.

Did you consider a server having 1000 blades? Because otherwise 1 * 24 * 365 * 1000 = 8760000Wh, meaning 8.7MWh, not GWh, and the savings are $1300.

That's just because the way to complain is built-in. Google can do whatever stupid thing they want to Gmail's UX with way less complaints - because what will you do, write an e-mail about it? :) Also because the average Facebook u

If it uses the P5 header, then it's I2C - so there are no USB issues. I remember reading about (other?) Wolfson DACs on Raspi and they were using I2C.

Yes, it's not exactly in the raspi price range. That range is covered by the TV-tuner SDR receivers and other USB-stick receivers. On the other hand, for what it does, that x40 is actually quite cheap.

Something like this is already implemented in some systems, like WooKong-M from DJI[1]. I'm not sure if it can handle also quadrotors or if it's a hexarotor implementation only. [1] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

You can do that with a routing/forwarding table in any OS [that provides access to routing/chains]. Forward+NAT the cable tether to the 3G network, but keep the default gateway to WiFi, so the local applications will not use the 3

There was no actual message sent by Mexico, just a red flag raised by a journalist: "don't poison your own water, even if you don't plan to use it right now". Mexico City didn't plan to use water that deep, but they

I usually allocate a large part of the free space to FRA. In the production system I use right now (about 2TB of data, 50GB changes/day), I can go back a couple of weeks if needed. Fortunately everything is stable now, but that flashba

That's just incorrect wiring from my point of view; I don't know the US regulations, but you shouldn't mix lights and power sockets on the same circuit. Lights should have their own circuit breaker, of less amps than a socket

There is a lot of caching involved and it looks like the VM writes are not synchronous - they do not wait for the actual disk to be written. Normally nothing can beat the native access, but in a VM the "disk" is actually a sparse

The pins in the socket are actually more complicated. Every pin is actually a kind of spring[1], so it stays in contact with the CPU when it is pushed on them. They are not very hard to bend if you drop the CPU on them by mistake - but inst

The problem of SSDs, as others have mentioned here, is that writing during power loss can have more important effects: it can overwrite firmware bits or mapping bits. In the first case the whole SSD is dead, in the second case, much more da
