No, in fact my original post said I am all for multi-tasking. I do not understand the knee-jerk reactions agains prioritization, however. I guess I am just of the mind that if your country has the world's highest rates of rape, murder,

I am all for multi-tasking, but you would really think that Africa would have bigger fish to fry right now, without worrying about censoring the Internet.

No injustice is being done. People today really surprise me. Just a few decades ago, if something bad happened to you, well it just sucked -- but that was it. Today if anything happens to you (you get offended, shocked, left out, fired, evi

Well it is not totally unrelated, and I think it bears repeating, due to shear audaciousness, if nothing else. It would be the equivalent of Obama publicly stating on TV that Americans have been "getting a bit too uppity with the free

I suspect a lot of this would be more difficult now. I had minor surgery not long ago and (while I was still conscious) everyone in the room (including me) had to agree what was about to happen, sound off about their part in it, and confirm

I've read the "about" and "services and benefits" pages, and still don't get it. Why would anyone (from the US, for example) be interested in this?

As someone who has "been under" a few times, I am torn on this. I like the idea of less errors due to a computer, but there is something comforting about knowing that a human expert is "at the wheel". I know it is irrati

I suspect that it is because law service advocates (and most professional groups) fiercely protect themselves through licensing and watch-groups (normally "boards"). If you would like to prove this to yourself pull up your state (

I really like that some of the over-reaction after 9-11 is starting to be reeled back in defense of personal privacy. The fact that the paternalistic "If you haven't done anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about!" was

I have used the gender filter on many occasions to give me ideas or help discover toys my boys might like. Christmas and birthdays are brutal trying to find something engaging and fun for fast-growing kids with changing tastes. So it sucks

Agreed, something has to be wonky with his(her?) Kyoto Cabinet configuration or drivers. I have always had blazing results with KC and this is showing it as being the slowest in every test.

I don't have a problem with companies that have a work-for-hire clause, but I do get a little jumpy around ones that have an "anything you do, even at home, still belongs to us" clause.
