I've said it before [0-4], I'll say it again -- mind your TLD. They have about as much control and influence over your traffic as a VPN, except even your users are at their mercy. Do not choose a TLD based on trends. [0]: https:&

I mostly thought it would be a cool party trick: bundle your site into your web server and now you have a whole website with no dependencies including file system! But then recently FrankenPHP came on the scene and now you can bundle your e

The use of "additionally" is weird here. A full roundtrip is 45 hours. It doesn't take 22.5 + 45 hours to receive a response. 45 = 22.5 + 22.5.

This is good feedback, thanks! Ok, we'll try to think of another visually interesting way to tell a non-visual story, to see if we can replace the 3D transforms. I just hate the trend that most tech landing pages have these days of ran

Interesting; the 3D transforms don't actually affect how much text fits on a line. So even if we remove the transform, the text will still wrap/overflow. It does actually excite some of our readers, for example: https://

Thanks for the feedback! - 3D transforms: We got feedback before that people really liked them, for example: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=23072414 -- they're not extreme, which we tried to avoid. I guess some p

What a wonderful and heartwarming story! Until that last sentence… I’m so sorry. At the risk of sounding too personal, I imagine many of us here can relate to that with someone in our family. Coming from someone of a similar age who also st

As the author of Caddy, I have often wondered why people run it in containers. The feedback I keep hearing is basically workflow/ecosystem lock-in. Everything else uses containers, so the stuff that doesn't need containers needs t
