Of course you can- Lightning works today. If you don't believe me, our team hacked together https://ln.pizza as a demo of the tech.

Plenty of older folks still have student loans. Also, you could argue that family medical benefits are the same thing.

I've had to do it 4-5 times myself (busted phone, water, upgrade). I think it's possible to export the keys (at very least the message history) to avoid this, but if I need to verify with someone I actually fall back on... Keybase

I think it's a pretty reasonable way to combat FUD. It's tough to compete on security because users struggly to know what's actually better (on top of needing convincing security is a worthwhile differentiator in the first

Hard to answer without more details- there are a ton of negative signs here but with the whole crypto market down, this might also be a good opportunity. Contact details in my profile if you want to chat with a crypto founder about it.

Sounds like every new programming language before the tooling became more robust? Excited about this stuff, but Truffle has obviously been getting the job done. If you want to pick on Solidity focus on how unsafe the language itself is IMO

You haven't explained why it's "poor in design".

Some tokens are designed as a right to cash flows... see "work tokens".

Not that justifies its cost today, no. That's a commonly repeated fallacy by goldbugs.

There's a narrative that Bitfinex/Tether drove up the price of crypto fraudulently, and that USDT is not 1:1 backed by fiat. Not weighing in on it either way, but issues with Tether have been a sword of Damocles of the crypto mark

No- the market will buy and sell Tether at the market-discovered price- which means it's no longer centrally "pegged" by Bitfinex. This could be because they want to better take advantage of the difference in price themselves

We're hiring strong devs interested in crypto, and strongly prefer working code over other hiring indicators. Details in my comment history- reach out if you think you'd be a fit.

Would love to see some evidence of a mass migration to Haskell... anywhere.

> I agree with you that your definition is what we should define a blockchain as, as Natamoto defined it. Funny enough, "blockchain" as a term wasn't defined in the Bitcoin white paper at all.
