I'm of the strong opinion that statism is the way of corrupting any ideological revolution. From communism, to democracy. I'd be interested in hearing your opinion as to why letting the status quo be is a good thing. The path soci

You might want to bookmark https://openwebsearch.eu/open-webindex/ While the index is currently not open source, it should be at some point. Maybe when they get out of the beta stage (?) details are yet unclear.

Thanks for calling this out. Apparently on iOS it's complicated, for some reason https://support.signal.org/hc/en-us/articles/360007317471-Vi... On Android I tap on the image in chat, 3 dots and save. Wa

Don't you find it problematic, as a framework that's 8 years old to already have reached version 15.x? Assuming they follow semantic versioning and those are 15 different backwards incompatible upgrades?

> Anyone proclaiming simplicity just hasnt worked at scale. Most projects don't operate at scale. And before "at scale", simple, rewritable code will always evolve better, because it's less dense, and less spread out.

What distro are you running? systemd-oomd kills processes a bit quicker than what came before (a couple minutes of a slow, stuttery system). Still too slow for a server you'd want to have back online as quickly as possible. At least no

I would recommend giving Xfce spin a try for comparison, and when encountering similar issues logging in a separate tty (ctrl-alt-F2 to F12) to check the logs for issues. (journalctl --boot=0, for current boot and journalctl --boot=-1, for

Use the Tor browser window in Brave. It's nowhere near as anonymous as the Tor browser, but the built in ad blocking makes browsing via Tor usable. And that's what you and your compatriots are interested in. Prepare to fill in Clo
