It seems likely that we will be able to go back only so far using language as a tool for history. I think the origin of Basque is probably beyond that boundary. There are some parts of history that we will probably never know. But no, it se

I've been driving my most recent car for 3 years now. I want to go back to analog controls. It sucks. I'm used to it but it still sucks.

Why is the theory that they try to produce a better experience? Where does that come from? Probably from their self-promotion and tech journalists eating it up, and nothing else.

The only people who ever bring this up are all on HN. Spotify is electron, vs code is electron, slack is electron. I have them open all day, and never even notice.

Whew! For a second I thought MS might be selling information on what type of variable names I use to advertisers.

What is core revenue? Because you are excluding cloud, gaming, hardware which altogether very likely make up >50% of their revenue.

I think the offering states that the money is for de-risking their balance sheet. I don't think it mentions using the money for any of those things.

300 people rating 2 of 100 companies does seem very sparse. Thanks for the link.

Peterson clearly has no idea what Marxism actually is, outside of the boogeyman created in his head. He proved so in the 'debate'.

They use the cheapest model to try to lure customers in and upsell them. That is why it is not available online. They don't want to sell the SR; they are likely losing money on it.

Maybe if Musk actually listened to the people he hires, they could have, you know, foreseen these kinds of things. The kind of things that car manufacturers forecast on a daily basis. Why is Tesla so uniquely chaotic?

GM didn't take any money for those cars did they? FSD is scammy vaporware, and they are selling it now. Tesla is a dishonest company run by a narcissist.

What part of "full" is ambiguous. Maybe your point stands if just "autonomy" was used generically. But "full" has a specific implication.

Who's going to be liable for those deaths? The manufacturer? I don't think they'll be so hot on that. So really, they need to be orders of magnitude safer than humans, to the point that they are close to flawless.

Largely agree, window management on OSX is odd to me. However, you are looking for alt-~ (tilde), which will switch windows of the same application. That was a game changer. Still honestly don't see a reason to have those separated.
