What generation of GPU would you need to get any significant & supported benefit out of this, when completed? The discussion about the fallback seems to imply that some pretty rare feature is going to be used at least for some rendering

Thanks, I'm a pretty heavy RSS user, mostly with regular desktop clients. Where my usage pattern is pretty much a single dump for everything and just quickly scrolling through the 100-200 updates/day, scanning some, reading others

Overuse of still-not-standardized decorators seems like "4 years ago", too. Just recently MobX moved away from them for that reason. Also "let main, footer" vs "var footer; var main;" doesn't make it look

It's interesting and a bit disappointing to me that there's no real current trend towards beginner-friendly (or "end-user"-friendly) programming. For a while we had some interesting candidates, like Processing, Rebol, or

Note that a lot of the "shell"/AmigaDOS details were inherited from Tripos[1], along with BCPL to implement that (the BCPL that begat first B and then C at Bell Labs). IIRC, that was a temporary solution until they got their

Java had the issue that it was hard to build a consumer desktop app, because Swing etc. were a bit removed from native (L&F, behavior etc.). Those didn't matter as much for desktop apps, which always looked gross. (The issue that t
