The revision of The Tau Manifesto that launched today includes a wealth of new material, including a rebuttal of the "Pi Manifesto" ( http://tauday.com/tau-manifesto#sec:the_pi_manifesto_a_rebut... ) and a new section on the volume of a h

This video is from a talk I gave on Tau Day last year. I released it today in honor of Half Tau Day. The Tau Manifesto has also been considerably revised. See especially the updated Section 4 ( http://tauday.com/tau-manifesto#sec:conflict

I'm surprised by the lack of spaces in, say, .error{ color:red; } I much prefer .error { color: red; } or .error { color: red; } (The latter is particularly nice because it implicitly acknowledges the likelihood t

Nope, the logic is just the same. So many people requested Bootstrap that I determined the market demand warranted the extra effort. But given your situation and goals, it sounds like there's no need for you to re-do the tutorial.

The full "rewrite" took less than two weeks, and much of that was redoing screenshots and mockups (easy, dull work). The motivation for the change was to please readers. Happy readers make for a happy author. Among other things, happy reade

The print edition is typically available 4-6 months after the final files are submitted to the publisher. Yes, that seems like a long time to me, too.

There were several reasons for choosing bootstrap-sass. For one, lots of readers recommended it. Moreover, in an introductory tutorial, I wanted to stay as close to the default asset pipeline as possible, which meant erring on the side of S

The book uses the excellent bootstrap-sass gem. I have personal assurances from the gem's author (tmcdonald) that he will keep it up-to-date with the latest changes in Bootstrap.

I had the same thought reading the article. There are risks either way; bureaucratic deliberation has costs as well as benefits. In this case, the relevant experts, in balancing those costs against the benefits, would definitely not have
