Does London not have some TerryB-style fixed gear riders that are more controversial than this guy? :) Line of Sight definitely had a London section, though it is quite old now https://youtu.be/0npCFw9TEnA?t=1720

What big external dependencies do you need for a parser? `String -> Result<Email, Error>` shouldn't need any other parameters? But you should ideally still have some simple field-wise constructor (whatever that means, it'

This is all pretty language-specific and I think people may end up talking past each other. Like, my preferred alternative is not "return an invalid Email object" but "return a sum type representing either an Email or an Erro

Is this not `Result<Whatever, List<Error>>`? There's nothing enforcing that the error side needs to be the value-based equivalent of a single instance of an Exception class. The important part is not to expose a "Strin

I mean, yeah, you can avoid wrapping things that are optional in Option, but that doesn't make that the result is semantically meaningful . If you have a User struct with "age: 0" does that mean: 1. The user being referred t

sealed classes are just retrofitting sum types onto the JVM. If Kotlin could have used "enum" for it then they probably would have, like Swift and Rust did. The main point of sealed classes is exhaustive `when` expressions:

Dropbox wasn't given access to your bank account 2fa. There should maybe be slightly more gatekeeping around installing software that unironically advertises itself as RCE: https://docs.openclaw.ai/gateway/security

rust and swift don't require manual memory management. rust is RAII and swift is either value types or reference-counted. (yeah there are escape hatches, but it's weird to use them)
