I've downvoted each of your comments that violated the HN guidelines, so I wouldn't be so quick to chalk it up to anything but (some of) the userbase wanting those respected.

Can you share the most convincing video(s) you've seen? I've spent more time than I care to admit combing over these threads on HN and other places, and haven't seen a single video that I don't readily recognize as an ai

Isn't this a kind of survivor bias? You wouldn't know if you approved (undisclosed) LLM-generated code that was good..

Not OP, but I'll answer from my experience trying several different tools for this: the good ones are roughly as accurate as having a human note taker, familiar with the domain terminology, would be on average.

You should probably know that individuals can disable[1] showing up in documents' view histories. I've had this option set for as long as I can remember. 1: https://support.google.com/docs/answer/7378739

Interesting question. I can't think of anything outside of the education sphere, no. Maybe someone else will chime in with an example.

In my opinion, you're reasoning about it incorrectly. What if I said: the price is the same for everyone, but people with less access to money get proportionally more assistance paying that price?

Really? I paid once for Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro. 6 years ago, I think. They've continued to get major new features and updates. Adobe won't even sell me a non-subscription copy of Photoshop anymore.

Of course it is. Because the software people want to pirate isn't available on Linux for all the reasons parent commenter outlined.

Hi again. I agree, this isn't for everyone. But I have worked at very small startups where you're all in one room (talking 10-20 people) and it was a kind of "lightning in a bottle" environment that I've been trying

For $8.99 you can buy a high quality USB-C (or lightning) DAC with a 3.5mm output directly from Apple. It's tiny and lightweight. I keep one in the back of my headphone case.

I'm far (far) from an expert in this field, but when you think about how audio is quantized into digital form, I'm really not sure how one solves this with the current approaches. That is: frequencies from one instrument will virt
