Yeah for sure, I am just wondering whether they technically send them out in Germany, or whether this is US only.

Can I apply in Germany? My dev account recently expired, but I would renew it for a chance to get my hands on the dev kit…

It's literally xorg and that logo looked old when it was released almost 40 years ago. This is honestly hilarious.

Just downloaded it. This looks incredibly polished and smooth! Will play around with it a bit, although I have never been good at taking notes.

As much as I dislike Reddits recent moves, I absolutely hate communities moving to Discord. It’s even more closed, not at all searchable and just all around an information graveyard.

Sorry for the late reply! I am probably not the best to talk about all of Kagis features but the ability to customize search results and blocking domains has been amazing (Pinterest ugh). The lens feature is also great. During product resea

My search quality went down hill over years and now I just pay for Kagi. It’s honestly a breath of fresh air.

It's already on the Appstore, you just need to setup a Invidious or Piped instance to watch YouTube.

I can 100% see myself preferring working on this thing over a Mac, as long as I don’t need a Mac to host my dev environment.

This is genius. I definitely do have this issue. Sadly I am not on MacOS anymore or I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Orion is basically Safari with full extension support.

What’s the benefit over s2idle? I thought it was about the same in terms of power consumption while the former is faster to wake up?
134.
by mgrandl 4y ago
No it’s not. Dairy consumption is far, far worse.

You fail to mention that the second options causes immense amounts of suffering to both animals and slaughterhouse workers and absolutely destroys our environment due to GHG and manure runoff. It also completely fucks up the biodiversity on

Tried all the common choices for iOS like Overcast and Castro, but settled on Pocket Casts. It’s cross platform and open source (client only) and in my opinion has the best UX. Also the only one with a reliable offline Apple Watch experienc

Yeah the community loves using the cirque trackpads. They come in varying sizes and afaik are also used in the Steam Controller. I personally just built a keyboard with an integrated trackball however. It’s great!

You can simply use the steam decks UI on any Linux system and it works great on AMD. Hardware acceleration on Nvidia is somehow super messed up still, so not recommended for those just yet.

I recently tried it. The CLI works great, but there is one super basic feature missing in the TUI that makes me not want to use it and that is search inside a document. There is already a FR on Github, but it got no attention so far.

Just ordered the Ioniq 6 this week in Germany and maximum wait time is 9 months.

by mgrandl 4y ago
Yes it can be disabled completely.

Yeah seems like a scam. I paid for it, requested an invoice and never got a reply. Never received a single software update either.

I love my 14". The only real issue I encountered is that there is no HDMI 2.1 support.

You could setup a font with special ligatures for something like this, without changing the convention…

I used this as a source: https://extension.sdstate.edu/grass-fed-beef-market-share-gr... I doubt that at current consumption rates that it would even be remotely feasible to have the majority of cattle grass fed.

> The planet's ecology can't sustain a herbivore human race. quotation needed. All scientific literature (that isn't sponsored by the livestock industry) is claiming the exact opposite.

by mgrandl 4y ago
This hasn’t been true since decades now. 96% of cattle is raised on grain instead of grazing. Merely 4% in the US are allowed to be called „grass fed“ and that doesn’t even mean they are grazing year round.

There definitely have not been billions of cows millions of years ago. There is simply not enough „prairie land“ for them. So in reality we grow the latest Monsanto monocrop to feed the livestock, because otherwise there is no way to meet t
