Please share your chat I also just confirmed via the API that it's making an out of band tool call EDIT: And googling the tool name I see it's already been widely discussed on twitter and elsewhere

I think this is actually correct even if the evidence is not right. See this chat for example: https://chatgpt.com/share/67e355df-9f60-8000-8f36-874f8c9a08...

The simplest way is that all resources require an authenticated type for access, and getting that authenticated type requires an input (secret) only available on the server. Facebook does something like this and it works pretty well

I don't know, but I am just pointing out that the problems here are really about execution, not vision. There's no reason we can't properly enforce security boundaries in the browser, we already do it between the website'

I don't think this is true in principle. It should be pretty easy to statically verify that the separation is safe using something similar to trusted types and the Typescript type checker. It's not possible in Next.js, but that do

Very cool animations, but they don't strike me as "psychedelic". A bit too smooth and unstructured.

The author is missing information about LLMs. In the "Obligatory LLM Section" he focuses on distributed systems that use LLMs. But almost all of the new innovation I'm familiar with in distributed systems is about training LL

Not sure what you're talking about, what does it mean to say that it scales "exponentially with compute"? You're talking about scaling laws? In what sense are they "linearly with knowledge"?

This paper is over 1 year old and didn't review the literature at the time well enough to see the early work that led to current generation reasoning models. Now it's out of date, automated RL on math problems seems to work and sc

The beginning of the article was good, but the analysis of DeepSeek and what it means for Nvidia is confused and clearly out of the loop. * People have been training models at <fp32 precision for many years, I did this in 2021 and it

Which do you think is more likely, that Bill Gates sat down with the administration to try to convince Trump to keep funding Gate's life work, or that Gates talked to Trump to end polio funding? Trump bad, has nothing to do with Gates

Yes I'm willing to concede that Bill Gates did not single handedly cure polio. Would you agree that he has done more good for the world than most people?

Ok let's compare the year 1000 with the year 1500. Do you believe the value of everything in the world increased in those 500 years? There was no monetary policy yet so that isn't the explanation

I'm trying to simplify it so it's easier to understand. It's not semantics, it's a different category of thing. Yes the billionaire I listed have saved more lives than 99.999% of humans. They do this by paying for specif

In fact the world didn't have this money before. Maybe this is the first time you've encountered the idea that the economy is "positive sum" so think of it like this: Is the value of everything in the world higher or low

Bill Gates also gave billions of dollars to the world for free, it's just a question of which one is more praiseworthy. I could be convinced Gates was not more impactful than Salk, but he's definitely in the running for top 100 be

Well i meant "group" as in an actual group of people who are all doing roughly the same thing at the same time, like the previous generation of robber barons. But even in this case, I could make a pretty strong case that Salk was
