One factor influencing photographers could have been that many of their high profile clients were (and are) creating and hosting Flash websites. A lot of ad agencies still espouse Flash websites. Check out thefwa.com or Comm Arts Interacti

Yeah, it's a couple years old now: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1272481 At this point, much of the CSS3 demonstrated wouldn't require a vendor prefix at all.

Nice, runs well on iPad 1. Better than PE on my Nexus One, that's for sure. Looks like it's only $6.99 rather than the $9.99 quoted last night.

I'm more comfortable sharing the EFF 'opposition' post from yesterday. It's full of quotes that outline the concerns to friends and family that just won't understand or care about 'DNS'. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2011/11/explosion-oppo

Yes, "text neck" is a serious problem with working on laptop/tablet. Using an external keyboard would allow for proper placement of the display on a desk. But manipulating the iPad via swipes while positioned at head level could lead to sho

Maybe with the 13" MBA or MBP, but my 11" gets around half the battery life of an iPad. On a different note, an iPad also makes for a decent external display for a cramped 11" MBA.

If you're looking at a powered-off screen only, maybe all smartphones look the same. Do all laptops look the same? The design and construction of the bezel, sides and back of a smartphone contribute significantly to the user's experience. D
