PAL and SECAM are also interlaced. Except PAL/SECAM don't have any of the color issues of NTSC.

Isn't this essentially normal AI usage and what everyone has been doing for 6 months?

Why so much love for NTSC and so little for PAL and SECAM?

Aren't there several bitonic sort network implementations that are vectorized, Intel's in particular? Why not compare against that?

Interesting, but pretty limited corner case. Would compilers even identify those 28 values and do the transformation?

That's only valid to do if the reciprocal is representable exactly.

I had somewhat similar questions asked of me in the 2000s, and I still ask similar questions today.

Waltz is 19 quid, but it's arguably the best cocktail in London. The Connaught is up to 40, but more of a fancy establishment.

What about Crossrail Place in Canary Wharf, doesn't count? Otherwise there are plenty of other roof terraces which are bars/restaurants. Typically more enjoyable as you don't have to book tickets and you get to enjoy a drink.

I find that the AI only gets sloppy when I get sloppy myself. So I suspect that the people who get upset at the AI fucking up is because they did a poor job at building up the right context for the task.

There is no problem putting objects past the end of another object in C++. I use this approach as part my zero-copy serialization library for what I call "out-of-line" sequences. It does require smart usage of std::launder to be s

well I'd specifically want one that's well-designed to make use of the various features you pointed out: highlight battery level, thermals etc.

That's an ABI constraint of the x86 32-bit API. People invented x32 to fix this. Or just use amd64.

For Boost.SIMD (which is what became Eve), a large part of what we did to tackle those problems was building an overload dispatching system so that we could easily inject increasingly specialized implementations depending on the types and i

I made the first proposal to the C++ standard committee to introduce SIMD in 2011, before Matthias Kretz got involved with his own version (which is what became std::simd). This was based on what eventually became Eve (mentioned in the arti

For me the main issue is that if you're serious about SIMD, you need to use a state-of-the-art library and can't rely on some standard library whose quality is variable, unreliable, and which is by design always behind.

Making things fit for purpose is not avoiding problems in my book. If anything, quite often it's introducing more problems, because we know we'll run into them and they need to be addressed. AI is sometimes quite lazy and refuses

Even with AI, there is a clear difference between juniors and seniors. None of the things I can think of have anything to do with avoiding problems. To some degree, having 5+ agents working on different projects is similar to leading a team
