Good point. The license for the actual library is on top of the file: https://github.com/no-gravity/0g-typeahead/blob/master/0g-ty... The project is pretty much that one file. Twitter put the license the

I like small libraries which are just a single file. That's why I am maintaining a fork of the original typeahead library from bootstrap. It is less than 400 lines of javascript: https://github.com/no-gravity/0g-ty

In another thread about this, someone mentioned Lemmy, a federated alternative to Reddit: https://lemmy.one/communities/listing_type/All/page/1 Looks like an interesting approach.

Has anyone here made an accurate 5 year roadmap? In 1961, Kennedy proclaimed that the USA would put a man on the moon within the decade. And in 1969 they did.

Call center agent is no longer a job with a secure future I guess. If 5000 call center agents saw an average increase in productivity by 14%, that means the company now needs 700 people less to handle all incoming calls. I wouldn't be

Could be a fun project to put all the steps outlined in the install guide [1] into a single script which turns a fresh Debian 12 install into a running Reddit instance. [1] https://github.com/reddit-archive/reddit/

I love the halton sequence. Super useful in many situations. I'm surprised Wikipedia describes it as "an example of a quasi-random number". To me, the Halton Sequence answers the question: In a given n-dimensional area, where

I tried a lot of paper plane designs and this one is by far the most elegant design and the best flying plane I found so far: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDiC9iMcWTc The simple flight path in the video does not relly

The benefit is that you don't have to type (or paste) your question for every engine you want to try. You can also click on "more engines" and add Google or whichever engine you usually use and make it your one-stop-dashboard

I tried Nostr on a web client. It was pretty easy. Just going to the website was enough. I have not seen such a thing for Bluesky yet. Is there a client online that one can simply use by visiting a website?

I have not yet tried Bluesky, but paradoxically, I think the "success" that currently everybody wants to try Bluesky might be an indicator that it will fail. If there is so much demand, why does nobody offer a free and open client

Awesome! That's pretty cool. So the ID of an ActivityPub actor is simply a url. That is great. I think Mastodon should have made it so that the url for their users is hostname/username and that is their ID as well. That would have

You say "the url works" as if there is a clearly defined url for every Fediverse user. But the way I read the specs, that is not the case. Some servers link you to hostname/users/username, some use hostname/@usernam

There is no mention of "identities" or "identity" in the spec either. So if a person is available via ActivityPub, how do they reference their "identity"? When you want to say "Follow me via ActivityPub: .
