I think it's a great article and it's nice to see a that it has up votes, as a lot of programmers, including those without a computer science background, have no idea about binary or how computers represent decimals. The article opens with

I love this post and the exchange of comments going on here. The OP is just starting to learn C, and to help learn it got started on a project that they found useful, which I think is one of the best ways to learn programming. The community

I love the idea, but why restrict it to only contributions of MIT or Aferro GPL licensed code? This prevents potential contributions, which goes against the ultimate goal of helping charities, scientists, and engineers.

Completely agreed. This is the one thing holding me back from fully switching from Linux to OS X. They seem like such minor things--it's amazing how big of a difference it makes not having them.

Speaking as someone who is absolutely terrible at design (I work almost entirely on backend stuff), I really like the idea of Bootstrap. It would allow me to focus on doing the work I enjoy, and not have to worry about design details that I

Great tool. I could see this being really useful when it comes time to register a domain name. Great design too. I am impressed with how quickly it checks 1000 domains. Care to share any of the technologies used to build it?

It was around ten years ago that I first read this article, and I've since followed just about every piece of advice given. I have since come along ways, but am still learning and improving every day. I think this article gives excellent ad

As a programmer who has spent the last three months learning Dvorak, I'm glad this topic came up and would love to share my experience. Before learning Dvorak, I used QWERTY, but did not fully touch-type. I could type quite quickly, and wit

I really like this idea, thanks for putting this up. I think it would be nice to additionally split it up into a data structures section and an algorithms section.
