Good point. That may not actually be too bad. I would hate to see blur and super-thin lines propagating all designs but those would hopefully be minor details if the apps themselves are more similar.

Will it be true that Apple still has enough weight to cause ripple effects in design paradigms completely unrelated to a mobile device? I am guessing so, but mostly because a lot of designers are coupled strongly to Apple ideology and it af

This is a bad question. A better question would be if the candidate works and furthers his/her knowledge in their spare time to help make a product as good as it can be. You want the people that would still be learning/growing reg

I have been impressed by Netflix's willingness to push forward into largely uncharted waters (at least in the U.S.). I had cancelled my subscription when they split their service, and while I still think it would be better if they wer

I can imagine if Space X was Google it would be stated that the only reason for the project is that they want to serve ads in space.

I am curious why something engaging your creative brain would prevent you from being creative - I would think it would do the opposite? *edit: Did you mean to say it "can kill your ability to think outside the box"?

It is certainly possible to de-clutter without making it look like complete shit. It's the odd decisions all over that just don't make sense, for example using red for primary actions or providing no contrast. Those are basic thin

Everything exists already (figuratively) but most of it is garbage. People are fickle when it comes to new experiences so there will always be converts to something better. Make something that sucks better and sell it. A lot of people think

We haven't passed through the digital renaissance yet. Shouldn't be too long (10 years? - right now it's just a party) but until then lines will be gray and rules will be befuddled. You need to have the visionaries to get us through it, tho

I could have sworn they announced emulator support in yesterday's Google Play Services session. Maybe I completely misunderstood what they were talking about (was developing at the time).

I think a revelation I've had recently is that, in general, friends are boring unless they are doing something of interest. The information I find on Google+ and other non-real-life endeavors from people outside my real-life bubble is much

What does the future hold for E-Ink readers? They are far superior for reading but useless in general. I could see myself getting a Kindle in a few months (I have a first-gen Nook) but after that I don't think they will be relevant as table

Anything that bucks the status quo in the entertainment industry is a good thing. Expect to see more and more of this and expect the traditional middle men to get more aggressive to prevent it from happening.

If we had less posturing and more failure, less blog posts and more action, our lives would be better. It isn't known that Google couldn't be the company 10 years from now iterating on the failed concept...
