You clearly have never worked with an outsourced team. Shit like this can happen with the utmost of ease - unless Google has an internal time constantly involved in the actual area of the outsourced team.

Google would have a lot more to lose than Facebook. Most of the posts on Facebook are not necessarily links etc... and even if the links were banned it wouldn't have that much of an effect on Facebook itself, other than people getting PO'd

Maybe he should stop to think that more than one person could have reported the photo. It would then be google's obligation to remove it because at that point you could not justify NOT removing it.

Seems pretty egotistical to believe our concepts of communication are the only and/or best in existence.

For me personally it would be refreshing to get something that is so deeply personal to the person or persons I support. Any band, for instance, that I enjoy I would feel overly elated to support something they spent all of THEIR time on. I

This, of course, is the main benefit of an non-restrictive development environment.

Seems like a lot of effort for an unknown gain - to me. It's about the same as reading a code block in Scala. It may or may not be useful to me but to figure that out I have to go off into a completely different world. I just wish the mathe

I actually surround myself in math all the time since I do a lot of game development. A poster above pointed to the math symbol list on wikipedia and I think "Great. I need to scour a daunting page to find the meaning of an obscure symbol?"

I really wish my brain didn't gloss over the first time I see a math symbol. All of this stuff seems intriguing but it's almost as if I'm hardwired to translate all those symbols into mush. I'd be much more interested in seeing the equivale

They really need to get game makers on board. Having the ability to transfer and play games from a phone to the tv would be a pretty awesome thing.

I don't believe the goal at this point is to be the Netflix equivalent of books. This is an incentive to get people to sign up for Amazon Prime which should translate into sales across the other realms (purchasing, videos etc..). If you loo

I really don't agree with this sentiment at all. There are infinite Linux distros out there to play with that are more inline with power users. Ubuntu is for a completely different crowd so what would be the point of just merging into that

Why is that even significant? Do you have 5 iphones you use in your every day life that jumping between them would be painful if they had slightly different OSs? Doubtful. Phones have had inconsistent UIs for almost a decade before iphone,

Google+ was never presented as a Facebook competitor. They tried social networking with Gmail with Buzz and that failed miserably. I don't really know what the problem is. The uber bar is more than sufficient.
