That's a good point. Safety critical systems commonly require loops to have maximum iteration counters and also forbid recursion. So what's left probably isn't Turing complete.

Check out Vultr. They used to only offer 1/10th bandwidth to AU, but pretty sure you get full bandwidth now. They are coming close to feature compatible with DigitalOcean (BSD, DNS, anycast dns)

I'd suggest a slight change. Code all the pawns into 2 'pieces' and have a special piece for promoting. The 16 moves for the special piece can be an index from a list of possible promotions which is easier to generate and can
