I've seen book authors talking about solutions to their book. And the two most talked about reasons are 1. Morale Stuff 2. If they provide their solutions online then the Book will not get adapted by professors.

I think deGooglying is easy but less important than stop using Facebook services yourself. As in case of Facebook you have to make your family stop using Facebook services before it can really make an effect

Finding a mentor is really hard. I've been trying to find a mentor since a year now or more. Either I get ignored, and if people agree they just can't spare time then I also don't feel right to nag them with questions.

Can't agree enough. I am a autodidact, and am still learning. And really every other week I wish I had a mentor/professor. Even though good books somehow covers up for no teacher. But, you can't just read thousand of books b

Edge didn't have any issues besides it's UI. It doesn't make sense to me that for UI MS halted it's development.
