I would love to see multi-terabyte servers in a netbook form-factor.

Lineage and other custom Android versions don't have such requirement.

There are a few alternative server implementations under development. Personally I'm hopeful for Dendrite (written in Go): https://github.com/matrix-org/dendrite

I don't care one bit about the specs. The Librem 5 has so much more to offer.

I use Lineage on a supported device and everything seems to work perfectly. My camera is blacktaped, but it did work fine when I tested once.

I will buy this because it's the only device aligned with the principles of Free Software. I hope many here will do the same.

There's already Replicant, Lineage, Copperhead, etc. The thing you're asking for has existed for a long time.

I don't know is it really better? Obviously you'd prefer, and I think I would too, but the sort of thing you're complaining about might actually work. Apart from your personal feelings, is there anything else you are basing y

If there was a way for me as a web developer to tell browsers "render this page in reader view" I would definitely use it.

Are the old images discarded? It would be interesting to use these as references for hyper-realist drawings. You could have something completely authentic that could never be traced back to its source.

Well, the manpage for this is looking really good and it already has almost everything that I care about. The -a option isn't in yet, but it's in the TODO. https://github.com/kristapsdz/openrsync/blob

rsync was never ISC licensed afaik. The parent is referring to openrsync's license.

I hope this ends up being a lot simpler and easier to understand than the original rsync. The rsync manpage is way too long.

Yeah, that was my assumption too. It's coming from the OpenBSD community, so openrsync it is.

You don't use it when you are trying to say you don't know something, but you can use it as an answer to a question. Q. What is that thing? A. Saa (dunno) My guess is that the Italian "boh" is the same.

The BSDs have a strong preference for copyfree licenses. They tolerate copyleft programs, but try to switch to copyfree when possible. See for instance GCC -> Clang/LLVM.

Using "less free" or "more free" in this context just leads to pointless semantic debates. What happened is that someone made a clean-room implementation of a copyleft program in order to have it available under a copyfr

I learned about lua patterns while trying out OpenBSD httpd and I quite liked it as Regex alternative. It's easy to learn and covers most of my needs: https://man.openbsd.org/patterns.7

None of that makes sense to me. Sure it sucks to be in such a shitty place that you just have to take whatever pays, but that's the reality for a lot of people and I don't see anyone being all morally outraged at people who hire c
