The unsung hero of the story is YouTube. I'm really blown away by how much cool niches have sprung up. It's awesome to watch people nerd out to stuff like this. We assume social media is destined to degrade over time. YouTube some

I don't think Patreon's reason to exist is because "sending money p2p is hard". There is a lot of room for competition though. As a supporter, my loyalty is to the creator not to the platform.

Urban areas don't have to have lots of petty crime and homelessness. Let's not assume they come as a package. Certain sectors clustering together in a geographic region has nice advantages even for non-23yo non-single folk. One ca

Isn't that the same for humans? You'd perceive little danger if you saw someone walking in your general direction in a crowded park, but remove all others and make it night time and the perception of that person changes entirely

But also your insurance provider collectively bargained the cost of a new windshield down to $20 as long as you go to their mechanic.

Does proof of stake take care of this scalability issue? There are POS based coins. I'm curious why they haven't entertained this use case yet.

I'm fixated on the fact that they used a dime. That's a very small coin. I can't say I fully understand the dynamical bias mechanics but u had expected that they use a quarter. It's much larger and easier to toss.

Maybe they are conflating Pixel 5 and 5a. 5a is larger but 5 while still a big phone, is not that bad.
