Wondering if Euclid’s parallel postulate was independent goes back millennia though. And that’s like the key ingredient for multiple geometries.

Yep. But will the govt kill OpenAI and others or change the law so that as long as your business is >$$$ you can violate copyright.

Is ultra sound that little monitor they/you look at while the needle thing is in your arm to apply the nerve block? That process a bit unnerving no pun intended. I thought maybe since my arm had been tweaked by being in a full arm cast

I swear I’ve put in the wrong passcode before hastily and it unlocks. I wonder if it’s because of this lag the display doesn’t match the input so I really did input it correctly but it just didn’t look like it.

I think so. My uncle had quick case (meaning he died relatively quickly) and I think him having to have every single teeth pulled due to poor oral hygiene might have contributed.

You mean like Musk is happy to do what Brazil asked of him/X as long as it’s Turkey or another autocrat like Modi he wants to be in bed with?

Sounds like all the blue collar workers who get tips are now screwed by this system. Getting tipped against a maximum wage defeats the purpose of tipping them. Say you tip your mailman $100 at Christmas or refrigerator deliverer type stuff.

I don't know the solution either. My stats professor religiously attended and espoused these "teaching stats" conventions. But the end result was him always deferring to how the committee did things. The entire pedagogy inclu

Idk 2015 was when I had to use Firefox for Dyanmics CRM, IExplorer for several specific things, and Chrome because it was faster for the rest.

They could catch so many bad drivers (carpool lane violations and speeding mostly but lots of others too) but I see them do a sting about once every 3 years and then zero enforcement in between. We as a society gave up on enforcing traffic

Black holes form before any infinities. They form when enough mass-energy occupies a small region of space. And neither quantity is infinity. Due to how energy is related to wavelength, and that we need smaller wavelengths to probe smaller,

Let’s poll RLHF workers since they actually see the tech the most.

I’ve rarely if ever seen a model fully explain mathematical answers outside of simple geometry and algebra to what I would call an adequate level. It gets the answer right more often than explaining why that is the correct answer. For exam

I’ve been doing RLHF and adjacent work for 6 months. The model responses across a wide array of subject matter are surface level. Logical reasoning, mathematics, step by step, summarization, extraction, generation. It’s the kind of output t

If mathematics is so vast the human mind is feeble to it, then it’s also too vast for exhaustive search. Axioms aren’t even beliefs. They are first principles at the service of solving mathematical problems. If we want to solve other proble

If bugs weren’t so prevalent I’d think a squirrel’s been eating your wires haha. That’s a lot. My Honda has a few but I’m happy with it although I think someday it might kill me with these phantom lane corrections.

I’ve watched so many communities devolve because of rage bait, which is often AI generated. I doubt any community is immune. It seems to be an inherent weakness that properly targeted ragebait can subsume them.

It’s probably AI generated like most of the rage bait on Reddit.

I learned this lesson explicitly Karate when I was younger. I was the spazoid. Had to be told, no, we don’t go even 75% capacity in most exercises, let your opponent carry out the routine when it’s their turn.

I think that’s how a lot of workers took it, but it eventually morphed into a talking point by the wealthy too that left off the second part. I hate to say it but some of my family members were talking to quiet quitters with disgust. Zero m

Quiet quitting was a way to blame worsening economy on younger generations, or just to take a swipe at them, that's the extent of the relationship AFAICT. With you on the AI crash.
