Sadly not. But between 1.5x and 1.7x a lit of things changed, especially around traits and there is clippy which actually helps. So our functions barely need lifetimes anymore.

Well maybe we started with 1.5x or so and especially impl trait‘s made a lot of things easier. We barely have lifetimes in our rust code.

The last few versions made a lot of the lifetimes elided so you can drop them.

because apps do not get credentials, so the token can be easily revoked just for this app. thats why app passwords are still fine.

Im not sure if you used windows in the last 5 years than. Heck the new outlook is a react native kind of ui.

Yeah I do not like it as well. Especially since redhat tried to force it on users of CoreOS Container Linux, with a completely new os without any upgrade path and half the features. Forking base worked at the beginning , but was painful and

In .net async won where lock and mutex does not work (lock is like synchronized, not exactly the same, tough). That’s why most libraries use SemaphoreSlim which would work with green threads. But that’s more because of the ecosystem. I’ve b

Why do they have this naming… it’s just insane. RTX 5000 Ada… do they just put letters in front or names at the back these days? So confusing and the consumer cards will also be rtx 50xx

No the sub is not unstable, it’s just the sub is unique per client_id. yeah I know that. We basically do both. You create the account with the email/upn but we also save the oid and than we use the oid for matching. If the email change

Microsoft basically has no useful sub (sub is only useful when it comes to app credentials for Microsoft). It has oid, but if you want to support n-providers with just a login field and not a sign in with n button, than you have a problem.

Well the best solution is basically to allow the creation of the account but keep it deactivated so that a human needs to check it. That at least works for things like gitlab or other things were an Organisation signs up. The problem of the

Some printers do that. Xerox uses their own wsprintwwhich uses http. Why they use their own thing instead of ipp, I have no idea… macOS uses ipp if the printer supports it. Maybe ipp is not workin well over usb

GCP does send mails when you abo‘d them. GCP is not to blame if they used auto. Heck if your loadbalancer sends you headers lowercase with a new http version it should not result in a bug. GCP‘s change was fine. Their software had a bug tha

sorry but the blame here was 100% on Mozilla. No matter which http version, headers should always be treated as case-insensitive. Blanking anything on google here is just stupid. The problem was nih-syndrome and ignored the http spec.

Actually dotnet wasm can be further trimmed in .net 8. but for most non rtl people the biggest improvement will be to reduce the locale bundle. Sadly it’s not possible to specify which ones you want. Also it’s not possible to bundle DLLs&#x

but what’s the point. It’s not that much work to create a unit file and configuration is always better in text form. If netplan would be an api driven tool via dbus or other ipc‘s to drive an ui I would understand the need. But as cli tool?

I prefer plain Systeme-networkd. Basically you just create a network unit file and configure the interface with it. Basically like network/interfaces, just a little bit more cleaned up

That is not necessarily true. Especially the error handling makes it really awkward to read go code. A lot of languages with an expressive type system do look aweful when looking at methods. But the same thing can be done with go methods. W

Http Post was not designed to be Idempotent so, basically you either fix double submission or your post starts to be Idempotent, which is basically against the spec (it’s not directly against it, but put would be preferred in that case). Of
