I get what you're saying but A) I don't see how they can bring them back after this and B) doesn't the same argument about other application dimensions just extend to the effects of coronavirus? I would imagine richer student

I think it depends on the school how important this is, I kind of doubt Harvard needs to raise awareness. But there are other benefits of sports that will also depend on the particular school. One factor that comes to mind is location- Notr

That is true but I will also note that Facebook Messenger died for me across devices (even on the browser regular Facebook was fine but my messages would not load), and the email discussion I've seen largely says something similar- onl

That's definitely possible, I don't know enough about the history, but now that there is a lot of established sprawl it does have a causal effect in discouraging public transit. Also, in the context of comparing to other countries

Not really your main point but there are quite a few US "metro areas" with fairly sparse layout/wide scope, so I think public transit actually is a harder problem in the US than it is in e.g. Europe. That said even the cities

I'm not sure laziness is the main factor here though. I suppose it depends where you are ordering from, but I enjoy picking up from restaurants still largely because I enjoy the food and would not be able to recreate it. In some cases

I think you're overstating how easy it is to discount for wealth in those other scenarios. At least when it comes to high school research experience, it has rarely been the case IME that a student got such a position directly because o

New York has far more deaths per capita, it makes no sense for their % positive numbers to fall in line with New York. It is similarly inconsistent with recent numbers out of Spain/Madrid, which was hit quite hard and is still floating

Not sure how DoorDash compares but what often made me pause on ordering UberEats pre-pandemic was the way they do the service charge. It is a percentage (I believe 15%?) of the cost of what you are ordering, and it does not appear to go to

Too much local filtering can end up really polarizing people though. You can slowly (soft) censor the news yourself just based on what you click on, and not necessarily realize that you are getting increasingly biased information. Perhaps t
