I worked for years at ESA and at least there this was not true at all. Most of us came from pretty normal backgrounds and had a passion for engineering. It's definitely not a place where "money ambitious" people go. It's

I'd recommend getting a teacher or someone who can plan your drills that forces you to play songs at your level. I'm no prodigy and could play stuff in a few months (heavy metal), maybe a year. But that's only because I playe

Genuinely asking: what other alternatives would you consider? Open or closed source, either way. Grafana seems pervasive around me and I always like to compare alternatives.

If you're still looking to do that I can definitely recommend a company in the same timezone! Alén Space is hiring and I can tell you it's a great team (I used to work with the founders).

Wow that seems relatively quick. If you're comfortable, can you share the size of these sales and their geography?

It's doable depending on your body size. I'm 180cm and 95 to 99 Kg depending on the day. When I do weight loss, I can plot it daily and it's going down on average but there are large swings on most days.

And here I was thinking I knew one of the "female" words because I recognized verbena. Verbena also means a party in Spanish, so I just assumed it was taken with that meaning in (American) English.

The question about English was just because many folks who only speak English don't realize how valuable it is (because they can speak it wherever they go), but also don't realize how other people cherish their own "niche&quo

I'm curious, are you a native English speaker? I'm not, but I speak 7 languages. I can tell you they are not just "tools for communication". They are expressions of culture and you can see in them how people think. There

I'm not from the US so I'm probably misunderstanding this whole conversation. What's the difference between "a group of people getting together to protest and demand rights" and a union apart from the union being a

Yep, I agree. I was replying to my parent comment that said Apollo was more complicated than Webb. I think they are very different amazing missions that you can't compare.

Apollo was amazing and the feat in guidance and navigation computers was astonishing. No one will dispute that. But let's not glorify it and discount all present missions. Building an observatory is VERY difficult. Nevermind the "

This is very obviously designed with some nostalgic/artistic intention. Spacecraft operations displays use fonts similar to those and they are perfectly readable (they do use different colors though). It also seems to me that the faded

Airbus, OHB, and aerospace in general will value these skills. There are a lot of low-level (as opposed to system-wide, not less prestigious or anything) analysis to be done where your skills would be valuable, particularly in structures, p

There is considerable effort on this direction already. A lot of the bus (on board computers, power, etc.) is standardized for a lot of missions. But there's always have uncertainty in the payloads. First, because there are lots of con

Also my background was more EE oriented than CS oriented: analog & digital electronics, signal processing, radio, etc. We did do a fair amount of software and CS but nothing compared to pure CS people.

This is exactly how it's done for spacecraft telemetry and telecommand too, but in this case it's to save bytes rather than processing time. I also miss working on those systems.
