It's nice work. I always thought it would be a pain to implement a Wireshark decoder but I was wrong! One other approach that could have been taken: to add the desired protocols into the camera directly. I assume you're just addin

In case you missed it, this is not a programming language parser/validator: it's to validate data objects in an information system. Validating a form submission would be a good example. It looks to be along similar lines to JSON s

Many companies are Microsoft shops and will use Lists even if it's inferior. I imagine the Airtable people are not at all happy about MS entering the market even though they will no doubt spin it in the way you mention.

It's such a b.s. article and is likely written by the nuclear industry. There are many factual problems but I'll just point out one: the idea that wind and solar will never be enough. Here's a study that includes wind, solar

I seriously hate open plan. Which turkey came up with that idea? I became one of the ahole's at one small office when I opened a brie and ate it at my desk. The guy next to me said that cheese made him vomit. Did he want me throw my br

I think having those capabilities is fine but I hate the endless notifications to use them from every damn web site! There should be a second and much more subtle notification system which does not obscure content or attract attention.

What is it with Americans and their loathing of one another? What is the problem with sitting next to a stranger? Maybe it's time for a spoonful of concrete.

The goals of the site builder and the end user are unfortunately not always the same. Airbnb doesn't want the user to have too much control (sorting by dollars), Facebook and Google also come to mind (being able to easily filter out ad

The financial problems seem to be happening at regional preprints like Indonesia or Africa. The people who run the service for them are surely using western labour. The obvious answer is for the regional preprints to switch to using local l

I'm going to counter the "therapists are great" theme that I'm seeing here. I think they're a waste of money. Cognitive behavioural therapy is a great tool. With practise and courage you can use it to reform the way

AMD has something called HIP which is a portable version of CUDA (compiles to either nvidia or amd hardware). They made a tool called HIPPIFY which can auto translate CUDA source to HIP. Haven't used it myself so I can't comment o

I've been running rocm directly on Ubuntu 19.04 for a while now. I didn't have to build from source either. It's odd that they haven't updated their docs about this yet.

Without actually knowing the truth, my guess is outsourcing: Cisco thought it would be a great idea to save some cash on technical staff so they now do a lot of the grunt work through company X in country Y.
