Staying 100% remote as a company thankfully. I do miss the office sometimes but having all that time and energy back of just getting to and from work is more than worth it.

A self-emptying Roomba. It's unreal how much time this has saved our family. Well worth the money, and it's been going strong for years now.

I agree it’s their choice; however, there are clearly better/worse choices and that’s what i mean by not handling their own shit. Basically, I don’t think people (including myself) sit around and carefully consider the evidence or thin

> People can handle their own shit. I’m not for censorship; just pointing out this is clearly not true. Thousands of died (and continue too) when they could have just been vaccinated.

It's a matter of resources. They literally do not have the time to track down every single theft. Therefore, they have to triage.

If I had to guess, it sounds like they just aren’t “into” photography; not that they actively dislike it.

And I'm glad they do, I've received a ~40%, ~10% and then ~50% salary increase because of recruiters who've reached out to me. If you have the skills, you pretty much have your pick of which ones to respond to.

The simple answer is because they can and people still accept the positions. Why would they pay you twice as much when you accepted half?

As far as I can tell /r/antiwork originally meant just that. Then it evolved into what it is today.

I honestly wonder if this is a reading speed thing. I don't notice keeping my eyes on them at all.

While I think streaming platforms are still a better experience than cable ever was, one thing that is really irritating is that I have to have half a dozen services if I want to watch a variety of content. IMHO, the cable model of having a

That's not true at all. I just switched a few weeks ago for a 50% increase that I did indeed receive "out of the blue". Emailed by a recruiter, I turned them down, they were persistent, and I took it. I was not actively looki

I might have missed it in the article, but have you or do you plan on adding climate control? I've been looking to scratch a similar itch and your post has inspired me to start looking into it, so thanks for posting!

I wouldn't rely on answers from HN. I don't have depression, but I do have anxiety, and professional help changed my life. It would not hurt to get an evaluation if you feel like something is off.

I don't sell anything on Shopify, I just created an App for their app store. It helps people manage their inventory. It's actually stupid simple, but it was a need a lot of my customers were asking for at the time.

Pretty simple Shopify app, sitting at about $2700 after expenses. I started it back in 2013, and it slowly grew but has now leveled off. Pretty sweet considering I only answer a handful of customer requests a month now.

I don't know.. saying "Alexa movie mode" and having my hue lights dim really does make it nicer. Is it a must-have or a need? Of course not, it's just a nice to have IMHO. I also use Alexa to set reminders, get Roomba to

I think it’s just preference really. I don’t think Django is better I just prefer some of it’s choices. For example, I really don’t like that rails implicitly imports stuff into the namespace. I like being able to follow the imports explici

I just left a rails gig to go back to django. I like ruby ok but not a big fan of rails. I totally see the value and understand why someone would like it but I just never could get to that point with it. I much prefer the explicit imports,
