Use case diagrams are also very useful, I find in clarifying why are we building something.

Nah keep hearing this, was doing multilayer in 90s, the problem was my machine didn’t even have a floating point unit, had to hand roll my own fixed point math and cpu was about 100mhz

And in the UK in the late nineties we had Kevin Warwick also predicting AI woes lay ahead.

Yup, the danger of the suss them out in 10 mins, is you won’t get diversity (I don’t mean race and all that bandwagon), you’ll miss some exceptional outliers imho.

Yeah, I was tripped up in an interview at Meta on system design, we had a good discussion, but on my part I didn’t realise they expected an actual solution during interview. I mean, you’d have a gist of a solution but you wouldn’t tighten

Multiple so called modalities doesn’t necessarily address the shortcomings, if anything it just highlights that there are many steps, and each step has typically created significant changes to the prior architecture!

But your talking about something they are not today, and quite likely we won’t be calling them LLM’s as the architecture is likely to change quite a lot before we reach a point they are comparable to human capabilities.

Looks interesting, but no info on what the 4000 classes are, is the ontology available?

I’ve switched around a lot, basically don’t care if static or dynamic, what is important is the discipline of the programmer and the quality of what they produce. Static vs dynamic have trade offs, however not normally the deciding factor

Very cool! It's not that far off going for an MPEG-2 video decoder next, highly recommend (a long time since I did, so take with a pinch of salt). That would be great to see in python to make that realm more accessible.

The software (as in the actual code for an implementation), should be ephemeral in my opinion. The data model, protocols and knowledge base (docs, requirements etc) should be designed to last and be extensible.

Had a brief look at boost-python (not actually done anything with it), and that looks quite straight forward for exposing C++ to Python.

I recommend, reading it now, it really fits the bill for someone coming back to C++ after many years.

Likewise, but also I now realise, after a long break I really like programming with "system languages". I get a certain amount of satisfaction that I don't get with higher-level languages, where I spend so much time plugging

First off, looks like a nice app, well done. So what exactly is your objection? You open-sourced it under GPL, you mentioned they made some changes, have they not open sourced them and thus broke the terms of the Licence, is that what bothe

The annoying thing is not being able to get tested. I'm in self-isolation, have a bunch of symptoms that might be coranavirus, or just the usual cold/flu. If I could get tested then I could get back on with stuff once it's cl
