This is interesting one: https://github.com/snark/jumpcut/commits/master?after=7f9772... It was unmaintained for 7 years (at the time when I was using it), but looks like it's alive again. It's a si

What are the advantages (for users) of using Gmail API over IMAP/JMAP? It sounds like huge disadvantage when email client works with just one provider.

I just did some statistic and "four" is correct answer to 8% of questions.

> it's trivial to generate text that could match any given hash Actually I don't know why there is some hash used at all. According to the example, answers are stored in a session. CRC32 would do the job as well. Or no hashing

I like the idea of domain specific questions, but I also think that questions are the biggest added value of this API. If you have your own list, then you can implement your own "captcha" pretty easily.

This will work well as long as it's a niche captcha and creating automated solver it's worth the effort. Hardcoding something in JavaScript what will be injected to all form submits is even simpler and doesn't require anythin

I had similar problem and wrote a browser addon: https://2read.net/ It converts websites to "readable" form and if you have IPFS running, it will also "pin" content locally. In most cases it works better

Unfortunately ipfs:// didn't work, so I rolled back changes. I also don't have access to window.ipfs, so I don't know at the moment how to handle custom port.

Now it has a fallback to ipfs:// (in version 1.3). Thank for pointing it out. As I understand it will only work if you have IPFS Companion, right?

Right, it's a local, sharable copy. Actually Readability cuts off so much HTML, that it's quite possible that 2 users will generate the same hash even from very dynamic website.

It's already built-in. URLs in IPFS are Base32 encoded SHA-256 hashes https://docs.ipfs.io/guides/concepts/hashes/
