Go watch American Factory to see what conditions/mentality is like in Chinese factories.

These are the people in power - the people with influence. They're for the most part assholes. You simply don't get to these positions being a good human (yes, there are outliers) - it's a fundamentally broken cultural system

Being in control of the other third is fairly significant... Seems almost too significant?

Thanks - do you have any brief tips on the best apps for ad delivery or retargeting in Shopify? Any thoughts on the most cost effective ad networks for small shops (FB, Google, Pinterest, other?).

Not on the main topic, but is there a way I can get in touch to discuss how you might be able to help us and our Shopify shop?

Wouldn't you then need an old iPhone for each user?

For real, they're using old iPhones??? How does that even work?? Jailbroken but then?

Wealth is a relative term. It's pretty unlikely for an expat to be living in the third world, on third world wages with third world opportunities...

Lots and lots of walking - not only good for your health, but, the meditative cadence of the action gives the mind time & space to re-calibrate and solve problems - for example, perhaps you are studying something you shouldn't be,

What a broken and unethical system. Again, no one held accountable, all in the name of business.

This was insanely surprising to me - I actually always thought the jpeg/art was stored as a kind of ‘blob’ on the blockchain that it was authenticated against the owners wallet/private key.

Sorry, that was a bit of a word salad. I was using Buttondown and moved across to Substack, thinking it may increase list growth - but it did not make any difference. Also, I miss the markdown editor on Buttondown…

I switched the other way - Buttondown to Substack. I did this in theory for growth, because I thought Substack may provide some better discoverability. It did not and I regret the move!

I lived in Berlin for a while without an income - I collected cans and bottles and would cash them in at the supermarket for food vouchers.

Taleb is categorically wrong - Bitcoin is worth something to a lot of people. Whether that continues or whether it's the "future of money" is debatable, but it's a fallacy to say that it's worth exactly 0.

I feel the same way about all the smart engineers solving problems for Facebook, Twitter, etc...

by medion 5y ago
Yes, there must be a blockchain solution to this? Can anyone comment on functioning blockchain solutions (if any?)?

by medion 6y ago
Engineers are already working on quantum-proof blockchain technology.

Or Cooke cine lens primes start at about 20,000eur, a zoom lens up to 60,000eur - just to comprehend where the lens top end is.

I think also if they are refrigerated and full of food, the food rots and gases off, keeping them afloat longer. Also, I recall something about certain containers (or maybe it was just an experiment?) having holes in them plugged with a mat

I was surprised by the use left/right for comms and not port/starboard - is that normal in the aircraft space? I guess it must be.
