Notational Velocity is great! I made a web app (in Vue.js) that's inspired by NV ( https://notational.co ). All the code is on GitHub ( https://github.com/tmm/notational ).

I agree. I think India is positioned to do quite well, but what happens to the pollution in five years? It's not going to magically become better. This is the thing lurking in the shadows that will cause major problems.

Side note: I hate the little chat bubbles that pop up on sites nowadays. They are fine if they just sit there until you need them, but often they make noises, expand automatically, change the page's title ("Hi! The team is around

At first, I pick a placeholder name. Really what ever comes into my head at first that's remotely associated (notes app ==> jot, etc). Could even just be a few characters. I revisit the name when I launch or prove to myself I am act

This a great question, but harder to answer than "How did you acquire your first 100 users?" and probably more important. Besides an obvious pain (like many users saying X is bad), users usually become indifferent and just never c

We live in an age of "looking to be offended." (That said people say unnecessary things when they should just follow the golden rule.)

TL;DR: You don't have to convince the designer of anything---you can "disagree and commit" and spend time on other decisions. Maybe some help: > Third, use the phrase “disagree and commit.” This phrase will save a lot of

Product Hunt: * Superficial comments like "This is awesome. I was on the beta." An upvote suffices * Curated/Stack everything jargony, useless terms like curated are now rampant * Very little transparency from hunters.

I agree that it's cleaner, but it's not particularly good for usability. Placeholder text is usually a light color and screen readers have no clue what's going on.
