I think QR codes have the same problem as the segway ( http://www.paulgraham.com/segway.html ) -- it makes the user look like a doofus. Walking up to an ad or whatever and waving my my phone around at it just feels un-cool and socially awkw

The article was talking about the $79 Kindle not the Kindle Touch for the keyboard point. Not sure why they'd expect the non-touch kindle to have a touch keyboard..

No offense intended, but "citation needed". My intuition is that server side Linux is a lot less visible, but outweighs desktop use by a good margin. Eg. I run desktop Linux on 2-3 computers at home, and 200+ servers at work.
