The compiler itself lives on but it works with TypeScript now rather than the JSDoc comments style approach which is officially EOL AFAIK.

I think there’s a bit of a misconception for people coming from other frameworks when it comes to Lit and it’s relation to vanilla web components. It’s not like it’s “compatible” but a different thing, Lit is actually a standard web compo

I’d put a slightly different framing to you. Even in places like the US (where there is no clear comparison to the BBC when looking at audience and influence with public funding) you still see those exact same dynamics play out as you descr

This is maybe true in the abstract but is entirely different from the on the ground reality in Portugal. It’s a lot more complicated in reality but generally speaking citizens have less advantages and opportunities than you might expect in

I think a big part of it is react specific which is also largely down to the functional approach which took over the community years ago. That ends up with a very different set of patterns and whatnot compared to lots of various desktop app

Just a quick side note not that I think you are wrong here at all just pointing it out as an FYI but there is a tool currently in development called jj or jiu-jitsu which is currently implemented on top of git but exposes a totally differen

The trash comments are very flame-baity but the underlying assertion is true that it’s been a long time since it was “the obvious choice”. One of the somewhat ironic things that I don’t know is well understood within the React community is

I think there is a really nice opportunity to take some emerging open source standards such as CBOR for the wire format, CDDL for the schema definition and code generation inputs and WebTransport for the actual transport layer.

I think it’s also that the V8 garbage collector already has a stupidly high bar when it comes to optimizations that shipping your own even without any consideration to WASM performance would be a step backwards for most languages running on

As someone who jumps back and forth between Dart and Typescript fairly regularly I can’t tell you how quickly and enthusiastically I’m planning on moving more and more of my stuff to Dart. It’s a huge quality of life improvement overnight.

If he went back to even thinking about touching classified material again in the future he would deserve to be jailed just for the stupidity of it alone after this. The takeaway here isn’t “better opsec”.

I think we are hung up on the term “damaged” here maybe. 1000s of computers did indeed have malware on them. That’s true. The malware was intentionally designed to do nothing other than trying to cross the airgap to where it was actively tr

It’s not the absence of “indisputable proof” it’s the absence of ANY proof. There are only a couple of possible scenarios here that I can think of: 1. Snowden is making a claim here that he suspects but doesn’t have proof of (I.e speculatio
