Isn't the whole point of a bubble is that you don't know you're in one until it bursts ? > Because it is often difficult to observe intrinsic values in real-life markets, bubbles are often conclusively identified only in r

This is great but unfortunately you can't have separate extensions with it. For example you can't have 2 Lastpass extensions

> just dump all the code into one giant file Sounds too scary. I am facing the same problem of too many global declarations all thrown into a global soup during build time when all js files are concatenated. I am looking for a safe and m

Does anyone remember the MUD [1] days ? It was a terminal text based D&D where you could connect to a server and create a character and play with other people. Every mud service was a completely different world you could explore and had

Didn't know about this. It's still not nearly as convenient as Chrome. Hard to switch profiles, hard to distinguish which window is which profile.

Maybe it's because most websites today optimize for Chrome / use Chrome in development? That might change in the future

I would love switching but the only thing preventing me is the lack of profiles like Chrome has. Containers is not the same as you can't have different extensions for each container like chrome has for each profile. For example, I have

I like this but I like chrome multi profile model better. I like that extensions are separate for each profile. For example, I have two separate LastPass accounts. One for work and a personal one. There is no way for me to keep them separat

This is the reason it's not useful for me I have separate LastPass accounts on each chrome profile (one for work and for personal use) and there's no way to keep them separate like this

At this point not using Facebook OSS tools for development is like not using Google for search. There are so many popular FB libraries under the same patent license, React is just the most popular.

Ptoblem with remote job is that it's mostly limited to a developer role. If you wanna go up the chain of command there are less and less options. To be a remote team leader means that you are limited to companies that have all of thei

How about CAPTCHA for unknown calls - numbers not in your contact list will be required to answer something only a human is capable of answering before getting through to you. Or another approach that Google does with Google Voice is to ask

The best solution imo is to block any call from a number that is not on your contact list and direct all other people that need to reach you to email. Your friends and family can still reach you and legit people who need to reach you can st

I don't care much when it happens on a website, because I can bypass that easily, but it's enraging when I see this practice in mobile apps. For example, my bank's app don't let you paste passwords. I have a strong rando

If you ban encryption and monitor all traffic in the world then you can easily flag messages you can't read as suspicious. You can then hunt down people using the encryption.
